Tri-County Technical College Celebrates 50 Years

Time Capsule

Tri-County Technical College students in 2062 will have special insight into what the College was like in 2012, thanks to a time capsule scheduled to be buried on October 24, 2012. We are looking for items to include that reflect our College and the culture of the time. All students, clubs and organizations, divisions/departments, and alumni are invited to submit items for consideration.

The time capsule will be a two foot cube (2' X 2' X 2' square). We want to include as many items as possible, so please submit items that are small. Try to identify things that reflect the culture of our time and/or signify your department or student organization. Be creative!

Submissions will be accepted from April 2012 until September 26, 2012 in the Student Life and Counseling office in SC 155. A selection committee will be formed to select the contents; all other items can be picked up after the ceremony.

Everyone is invited to join us for food, fun, fellowship, and the burial of the capsule during a ceremony on October 24, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. outside the Student Center on the Pendleton Campus. The capsule will be unsealed in the year 2062.

We have developed a list of Time Capsule Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) for your convenience. Additional questions should be directed to Croslena Johnson at 646-1568 or cjohnso5@tctc.edu.
