Campus Life and Events
The Anderson Campus is a vibrant, engaging community where students, faculty, staff and area friends come together to learn from each other and build strong relationships. Together, we are making Anderson a better place to live, learn and work. A wide array of student activities and community events serve to strengthen the student life experience and weave the campus into the fabric of our area's history, culture and persona.
Students and visitors alike often comment that the Anderson Campus has a comfortable 'at home' feeling. We hope you will come to experience that special sense of belonging here at your Community Campus. A few of the event opportunities awaiting your discovery are:

Tri-County Patriot Run and Freedom Ride Saturday May 16, 2015
NEW for 2015! We're Strutting Our Stripes and expanding our salute
to veterans and active service personnel by adding a
motorcycle-based Freedom Ride and Poker Run to the events of
Armed Forces Day.
The Tri-County Patriot Run is back and better than ever, including our popular 5K Race and one-mile fun run. Plus, this year, we're adding a one-mile Warrior's Walk for all wounded/disabled veterans or anyone who wants to walk in honor of a wounded/disabled veteran. The Tri-County Freedom Ride is a new motorcycle Poker Run featuring stops that highlight veteran or active service military themes.
All proceeds support scholarships for student veterans at Tri-County Technical College.

Every year in January and September, close to the start of each semester, the Anderson Campus hosts a Get Connected event. We offer free snacks, drinks, giveaways and information about our student services and organizations. It's a great time to meet the people you need to know, learn about our services, find student organizations to join, network and have fun with other students.
Each October, our campus celebrates fall with festive decorations, refreshments and student activities, including our traditional Pumpkin Decorating Contest. The pumpkins are decorated by our students, put on display in our lobby, and judged by three of our faculty members. Winners receive gift certificates from local merchants.
Black History Month
Our college annually observes Black History Month with a variety of activities, lectures, workshops and performances.
The Anderson Campus annually commemorates the date of the original signing of the U.S. Constitution on September 17, 1787, when the 55 delegates to the Constitutional Convention held their final meeting. We honor the freedoms represented by the Constitution and the meaning and application of its basic principles. We celebrate by offering our students refreshments and free copies of a Constitution booklet.
Community Action and Benevolence
In the Fall, our campus hosts events sponsored by the Student Government Association (SGA), to help those in need:
- For our Food Drive we ask students to bring non perishable foods items that are typically donated to Anderson Interfaith Ministries (AIM). AIM is a local agency providing assistance to the needy while encouraging and guiding them to function independently within their own resources.
- Our Clothing Drive assists students in donating general clothing items which are then delivered to community agencies for distribution.
- An Angel Tree is placed in our lobby starting in early November for people to take an angel ornament off the tree. The ornaments have a child's first name, age, clothing sizes and a wish for a toy. Items for this child are brought to our campus early in December and are delivered to children in the HEADSTART program in Anderson County.
The mobile AnMed Blood Donation Center comes to campus for our fall and spring semester Blood Drives. The public is invited to schedule blood donation appointments alongside our students, faculty and staff.
