Early Childhood Development Program to Host Family Literacy Event April 26 at Anderson Campus

         ANDERSON --- Tri-County Technical College's Early Childhood Development (ECD) program will host a family literacy event with interactive learning and play stations Saturday, April 26, at the Anderson Campus.

         "Once Upon a Time Book Ball" will be held from 10 - 11:30 a.m. and is designed for children ages 2 - 6 and their families.  Tri-County's Anderson Campus is located at 511 Michelin Boulevard in Anderson.

         Admission is free and guests are asked to dress as their favorite book character.  Prizes will be awarded for best costumes. Parents will receive suggested reading lists in their information packets.

         The event is sponsored by Inspiring Futures, the ECD student organization, and is designed, created and staffed by ECD students and Program Coordinator Meredith McClure.

          Tri-County's ECD program is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
