LIBERTY -- A Job Fair and Training Expo will be held for Liberty residents Monday, June 25, from 8:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the Pickens Career and Technology Center, located at 990 Chastain Road, Liberty, SC. Participants will be given the opportunity to meet area employers with full- and part-time job vacancies. The event is sponsored by Tri-County Technical College, Pickens Adult Education and the Liberty SC Works Center.
According the event organizers, they are reaching out to the 200-plus individuals who recently have lost their jobs due to lay-offs in this area. This is a great opportunity for them to talk with potential employers about their futures. Career and training information will be available in the following areas: Healthcare, Manufacturing, Business/Retail, Commercial Truck Driving and Heavy Equipment Operation
