Tri-County to Present Spring Choral Concert Friday, April 20


FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE                                          4/12/2012

            PENDLETON --- Tri-County Technical College's chorus, music faculty and students will present a Spring Concert at the College's Pendleton Campus Friday, April 20.

            The event will begin at 7 p.m. in the Marshall J. Parker Auditorium.  The event is free and open to the public.

            This will be the second performance for the chorus under the direction of Jeff Christmas, conductor/music instructor/choir director at the College.  The concert will feature a variety of works by the choir including traditional American folk song arrangements and a medley of songs from Leonard Bernstein's American musical theater classic, West Side Story.  In addition to the choral performance, there will be collaborative works between piano and strings faculty members Anita Brown and Alice Skaar, who will be performing Beethoven's Spring Sonata.  Other solo performances will feature music faculty members Eric Lapin (clarinet) and Jeff Christmas (baritone), in addition to several student performances, both vocal and instrumental.
