Call Me Mister

Teamwork Makes the Dream Work

Want to change the world? First, change young people. Want to make a real difference in life? First, make a difference in young people. Want to affect eternity? Teach young people. That's what astronaut Christa McAuliffe meant when she said, "I touch the future. I teach."

Tony Webb, Call Me MISTER alumni, works with children at an elementary school.

Our program, Call Me MISTER (Mentors Instructing Students Toward Effective Role Models), can help you become a teacher. You can expect to receive the type of guidance and support you need to be successful. We want you to have it all: Success. Satisfaction. Self-fulfillment! You'll have that wonderful heart-warming sense of pride that comes from being a servant-leader who is doing something important and valuable in our world. Within weeks of joining our program, schoolchildren will surround you, looking up at you in wonder, calling you MISTER. And you'll be called MISTER the rest of your life.

To maximize opportunity and greater access, students have the option of first attending Tri-County Technical College before transferring to a four year institution to complete their program of study in teacher education and baccalaureate degree. Participating schools include:
