Support & Training

Most departments provide mentors and other support for new adjunct faculty---your success in the classroom is important to us and to our students! Before you begin teaching, your department head will provide you with a detailed course syllabus, textbooks, and sometimes even pre-designed tests. All new part-time faculty also are required to participate in an online orientation program, which you'd complete during your first semester of teaching. (This is a web-based program, so you can access it anywhere, anytime.)
