Savanah D. - Success Story

Savanah(Connect to College was known as "Gateway to College" when Savanah earned her diploma.)

When I applied for the Gateway to College program in the spring of 2007, I was not only a high school dropout but a single mom with a minimum wage job. I knew that if I didn’t get an education, I had no hope of improving my income. After attending the first information session, I knew Gateway was the program for me. (I was excited to learn that most of the costs would be covered, and that there was even some flexibility in the class times!)

After being accepted and working hard for a year, I not only earned my high school diploma but over thirty college credit hours as well.

Gateway completely turned my life around. I now work part-time for the program while I continue to take classes toward my associate’s degree at Tri-County. Thanks to Gateway to College, my daughter and I both have a much brighter future to look forward to!
