Interested in pursuing a career with promising job prospects? Enjoy working in an office environment? If so, a career as a paralegal could be a good choice for you. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the employment of paralegals and legal assistants is expected to grow by 18 percent between 2010 and 2020, about as fast as the average for all occupations. Experienced, formally trained paralegals should have the best job prospects.

Paralegals and legal assistants do a variety of tasks to support lawyers, including maintaining and organizing files, conducting legal research, and drafting documents.

The Paralegal Specialist Certificate Program requires individuals to have an earned/completed Associates Degree from a regionally accredited post-secondary institution to be eligible for admission into the program.
