- Federal program awarded to the neediest students

- State funded program awarded to the neediest students
- Awarded based on FAFSA information
- Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours per semester

- Must meet residency requirements
- Awarded by completing the FAFSA application
- High School students or students with Bachelor's degrees do not need to complete the FAFSA. These students complete a Lottery Tuition Assistance waiver form (PDF) and return it to Financial Aid in Miller Hall.
- Applies to cost of tuition only
- Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours per semester
- Does not cover Continuing Education classes or non-credit classes

SC National Guard CAP Program
- The South Carolina National Guard College Assistance Program (CAP) is administered by the SC Commission on Higher Education and may be awarded to qualified members of the South Carolina National Guard.
- Awards, when combined with other financial aid, can never exceed the Cost of Attendance.
