President's Message

Major Gifts CampaignMajor Gifts CampaignThank you for allowing me to share our "Golden Opportunities" story with you and for your time as you consider making an investment in the future of your community.

Our students and graduates are the lifeblood of this community, with almost 90% of our graduates choosing to live and work in Anderson, Oconee, and Pickens counties. The demand for our offerings has never been greater. The College enrolls more than 8,000 students annually in credit programs and another 12,000 non-credit students through our Corporate and Community Education division. Business and industry rely on us to provide a skilled workforce and four-year colleges and universities look to us to transfer qualified graduates into their baccalaureate-level programs of study.

Tri-County has quietly served as a workhorse economic engine for this community for half a century. In light of ever-diminishing State financial support, it is critical that we find alternative support to not only remain viable, but to thrive. For this reason, we have embarked upon a journey to seek private funding through our first major gifts campaign -- "Golden Opportunities to Shape the Future." By the time we have our fiftieth anniversary in 2012, our hope is to have raised $9 million to ensure that the citizens of our community continue to have access to a high quality and reasonably priced education.

On behalf of the Tri-County Technical College Foundation Board, Commission, College administration, faculty, staff, and students, I am asking you to consider and support this Campaign. Your gift will be gratefully received and sincerely appreciated by those whom we serve and, in the long term, by our entire community.

Respectfully,
Ronnie L. Booth, Ph.D.
President
