The BMW Tech Scholars Program allows full-time students to work part-time hours at BMW Manufacturing Co., LLC. Students are able to further their education while gaining valuable experience in a high tech manufacturing environment and become potential candidates for full-time positions at BMW Manufacturing Co., LLC. BMW offers financial assistance with tuition, books, and supplies.
The Michelin Tech Scholars Program
Michelin North America offers a scholarship program to full-time students attending Tri-County Technical College. The scholarship covers the cost of tuition, fees, and books. Scholarship recipients also gain on-the-job experience through part-time employment with Michelin.
The Oconee Nuclear Station recruits students from Tri-County Technical College to work a minimum of 20 hours per week while maintaining a full-time student status. This program will help students gain knowledge of the processes and procedures in nuclear plant operations.
The BorgWarner Seneca plant hires co-op students to work 4 - 20 hours per week while maintaining a full-time student status. These co-op students gain machine shop training in operating horizontal machining centers, lathes, hobs, broaches, and shapers plus operating computer controlled machines that mill, drill, and ream metal parts.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Hydropower Cooperative Training Program
The Hydropower Training Program is a cooperative work experience with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Savannah District. While attending classes at Tri-County Technical College, full-time students work part-time for the Corps of Engineers at the Hartwell power plant.
The Schneider Electric Co-op Program
Full time students in the Industrial Electronics Technology program who have earned at least 12 credit hours but no more than 52 credit hours may apply to the Schneider Electric co-op program. A minimum GPA of 2.75 is required. Students work Monday - Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. each evening.
