Corporate and Community Education offers a variety of classes and certificate programs that can benefit you in your pursuit of a career in the food industry or just simply improve your culinary skills for family and friends.

FARM TO TABLE CULINARY ARTS CERTIFICATE

NEW!  Our Farm to Table Culinary Certificate will provide specific training required to prepare students to assume positions as trained culinary professionals in a farm to table restaurant, market, or venue. Students will be provided theoretical knowledge/practical applications that meet industry demands, including sustainable practices, operational efficiencies and professionalism. The certificate program is designed for individuals who would like to gain culinary skills needed to enter the food service industry. This program is also a great opportunity for individuals who want to become more comfortable and more proficient in the kitchen.

Upon completion of the following courses you will receive a Certificate in Culinary Arts indicating that you've completed  the requied number of hours in culinary arts training. The classes can be taken individually if prerequisites are met or with approval of department/instructor.

  • Cooking I: Soups and Sauces
  • Cooking II: Meats and Entrees:
  • Cooking III: Buffet Preparation
  • Garnishing and Food Presentation
  • Business & Safety Operations (Includes ServSafe Certification)
  • Baking Principles & Pastries and Desserts
  • Employment Training
