First Aid/CPR

Program Description
Our selection of First Aid and CPR courses are designed for:   the healthcare professional ; business and industry employees; or the general public.   Our selection of courses can provide you with the training you need and are taught to the American Heart Association (AHA) standards for First Aid and CPR training.   Classes are taught through video based learning with practice- while -watching participation.

Our courses can assist employers  in meeting workplace compliance with OSHA guidelines. In addition to our open enrollment schedule of courses, we can bring CPR and First Aid to YOUR worksite or organization.

There are NO prerequisites for these courses.  Anyone can take the courses. 

Below are the most popular First Aid and CPR courses that provide two year certifications.

  • Bloodborne Pathogens - For people who have a reasonable chance of coming into contact with blood or blood-containing materials as part of their job responsibilities. A course completion card is earned.
  • BLS - Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers (Infant, child, adult, AED) - If you are a health care professional or allied health student, this course is designed to train participants to save lives of victims in cardiac arrest through high-quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).  Knowing how to perform CPR both in and out of hospital settings.  You will be trained to promptly recognize cardiac arrest, give high quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations, and provide early use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) as part of a team and individually.   You will also learn how to relieve choking.  The course includes adult, child, and infant rescue techniques. A skills test is required. A course completion card is earned. Renewal is required after two years.
  • Heartsaver First Aid, CPR, AED -This course provides a framework for learning basic skills that may save a live or prevent further injury. Topics include:  First Aid Basics; Medical Emergencies; Injury Emergencies; Environmental Emergencies; CPR and AED for adults; children; infants.  Participants must pass a skills test.  A course completion card is earned.   Any combination of topics can be taught in a customizable format for certain groups as requested.
