Paying for College

Paying for College

Whether paying tuition out-of-pocket, using financial aid, or a combination of both, timely payment of tuition will help to ensure that students keep the classes for which they registered. If payment is not received by the deadline, students will be dropped from their classes. Students can re-register and then pay, but there is a likely chance some or all of the classes will no longer be available.

Note: Please review your online bill in your eTC if you make any change to your schedule after your initial registration to ensure no further balance is owed. Students will lose their entire schedule if a balance is owed during the 'drop for nonpayment' period. To check your balance in eTC, click the "Get Ready" tab and go to the My Financial Aid Status channel. You can click on My Financial Aid Status or Student Bill and Schedule.

If you have questions regarding your financial aid award, please contact the Tri-County Technical College Financial Aid Office at (864) 646-1650 or email finaid@tctc.edu. For questions on your tuition balance, please contact the Tri-County Technical College Business Office at (864) 646-1802 or email busof@tctc.edu or view your account balance online in your eTC account.

Financial Aid Status in Your Student Account

  • When the FAFSA has been completed and uploaded into the Financial Aid system, aid is awarded to the student's account.
  • If selected for verification, student must complete the necessary paperwork before aid can be awarded.
  • If in default of student loans or not making Standard Academic Progress, aid cannot be awarded until this has been cleared.

How to Access Your Student Account in eTC

  • Log into the eTC website
  • Click the "Get Ready" tab and go to the My Financial Aid Status channel. You can click on My Financial Aid Status or Student Bill and Schedule.
