Congratulations on being accepted to the Bridge to Clemson University Program at Tri-County Technical College! As part of this program, you have the opportunity to participate in the Learning Excellence Initiative at Tri-County Technical College. In this Initiative, Tri-County and Clemson have teamed to offer you a unique experience that will provide you with the skills needed to make your transition to college smoother. The result is being able to offer select Bridge to Clemson students a specialized learning community composed of ENG 103 and COL 105. ENG 103 is your required English composition course and COL 105 transfers to Clemson as CU101. You’ll still be taking other courses based on your chosen major, but your ENG 103 and COL 105 are specially designed for Bridge students only. By participating, you will benefit from:
- Focus on academic excellence – it’s not remedial
- Sense of connection with Clemson (your COL 105 course will be taught by a Bridge to Clemson staff member from Clemson University)
- More interaction with the Bridge to Clemson director
- Information, knowledge, and skills that you can really use to be successful
- Reserved access to high demand classes at the most popular times
- Taking two of your first-semester classes with a group of your peers
- Projects and assignments that are active, engaging, and collaborative
- Opportunities for meaningful interaction with faculty and the campus community
- Learning methods where you study in small communities and really get to know other students
- Faculty and students working together in a supportive environment.
We hope you take advantage of this great opportunity and wish you the best in your academic career! |
