Pop-Up Blockers

Objects which are designed to enhance your on-line experience can sometimes cause problems when using Web-CT.
Search bars are one of them. The two most common are from Google and Yahoo. Both can be used with WebCT, but they do require some configuration because they both contain a pop-up window blocker.

Web-CT requires that a new window be opened to display e-mail messages, chat, and quizzes.
The search bars have built-in pop-up blockers which must be configured to allow pop-ups to be displayed.

  The Google Search Bar
The Google search bar is easy to configure. It has a button which you can toggle on and off to either allow or block pop-up windows from the site you are visiting.
