- Concrete floors are cracking and flaking which harbors pathogens
- Chain link fence and framing is heavily corroded in multiple locations
- Current chain link style kennels are inadequate for ideal separation of large dogs and control of airborne disease
- Lack of individual outside kennel access for the dogs
- Inadequate food preparation space
- Limited ventilation in all cat and dog rooms which greatly complicates illness management
- Currently space allows for only four quarantined animals in a converted closet with limited ventilation
