The CDL Pad has been expanded by one-third, creating more space for learning opportunities.
Automotive and Mechatronics have received their binder coat of asphalt.
Drywall installation in Mechatronics is nearing completion.
Duke Power is turning on permanent power to the Continuing Education Building.
The Heavy Equipment Building structure is in place, with columns and girders beginning next week.
Mechanical systems are being installed in the Automotive Building.

Construction continues to make steady progress across the Anderson Campus expansion.
Automotive Building: Joist and decking installation is underway.
Continuing Education Building: Insulation is complete, and sheetrock installation is underway. The lobby addition continues to progress.
Heavy Equipment & Forklift Building: Framing has begun.
Power Linemen Building: Framing is underway.
CDL Building: Pad expansion continues. The CDL building under slab plumbing is in progress and preparation is underway for the building slab.

Anderson Campus Updates as of June 17, 2026

Mechatronics Exterior waterproofing has been completed. Interior HVAC mechanical systems are being installed. Curb and gutter have been laid around the exterior which creates delineation drive of aisle and parking lots. Exterior brick to begin the week of June 29.

Automotive Framing has begun on the classroom and office portion of the building. Exterior metal panels and roofing are complete on the automotive and diesel labs. Next are the roof purlins and wall girts. Roof purlins run across the top framework to support the roof, while wall girts run across the vertical columns to support the walls.

Continuing Education – Interior framing is ongoing within the existing building. Exterior sheathing has begun on the new lobby addition connected to the existing structure.

Heavy Equipment/Forklift – All forming and underground MEP work is complete and ready for the slab pour scheduled for week of June 22.

The Anderson Campus projects continue to make steady progress.

Mechatronics Building: Interior framing and exterior sheathing are nearing completion.

Automotive Building: Installation of the pre-engineered metal building for the Automotive and Diesel Labs is in progress.

Continuing Education Building: Structural steel for the new lobby addition has been erected. Interior framing continues and is nearing completion.

Anderson Campus is seeing rapid progress on the Mechatronics and Automotive/Diesel Building, with planned occupancy in mid-2027.

The pad for the Automotive and Diesel building has been poured, and steel erection has begun on the Mechatronics building. The Heavy Equipment area is currently being prepped for a concrete pad.

The Continuing Education building is undergoing a full gut and renovation, with completion anticipated by the end of 2026.

Both the Automotive-Diesel and Mechatronics programs are on track to be operational and welcoming students for the Fall 2027 semester.

Anderson Campus Updates March 2, 2026

Clearing has been completed at the new Automotive building location.
Storm line installation is currently underway east of the Mechatronics and Automotive buildings. To date, approximately 400 feet of storm line has been installed on the south side of the main building.
The fire line valve serving the Mechatronics and existing building has been installed.
Grading is in progress for the Mechatronics building pad.
Plans are being finalized to temporarily relocate Continuing Education occupants to the Main Academic Building. Renovations and additions to the Continuing Education building are scheduled to begin April 1, with completion by the end of the year.
