One of Tri-County Technical College's strategic directions is Elevating Operational Readiness and Response, which focuses on strengthening the systems, processes, and tools that support our employees and the College's mission. As part of this effort, TCTC launched the Human Capital Management (HCM) Selection and Implementation initiative to introduce a modern, integrated Human Resources system that streamlines talent management, improves access to information, enhances decision-making, and expands employee self-service capabilities.
To support this initiative, the College is implementing Workday, a cloud-based Human Resources and Payroll system that will provide employees with a more streamlined and user-friendly experience. Workday will become the primary place for managing many employment-related tasks and will go live on January 1, 2027.
Below are answers to some common questions about Workday and what you can expect from this new system.
Workday is a cloud-based Human Resources and Payroll platform. It provides employees with a convenient, self-service experience that makes it easier to access information, complete tasks, and keep personal records up to date. Because Workday is cloud-based, you can access it anytime from a computer, smartphone, or tablet.
Today, employee information and processes are managed across multiple systems and paper-based forms. Workday will bring many of these activities into a single platform, making tasks easier to complete and information easier to access.
Benefits of Workday include:
By bringing these functions together in one system, Workday will help streamline processes for employees across the College.
