Procedures & Application for Employment
  • General Information

All positions are advertised externally for a minimum of five days. Most positions are open until filled, with an application review date. The application review date lets applicants know when the hiring committee will begin the screening and interviewing process. The College uses a committee structure on almost all positions. Committee size and make-up varies depending on the vacant position. To be considered for any position, you must complete a Tri-County Technical College Application. A resume or vita may be included but may not be used as a substitute for the application. Although we are a State of S.C. Employer, we do not use the same application form.

  • Applying for a Position

To apply for a position, reference the advertised job number and send an Application for Employment (PDF) and/or resume to Tri-County Technical College, Personnel Office, PO Box 587, Pendleton, SC 29670. (If you initially submit only a resume, the Personnel Office will acknowledge receipt of your resume and request that you complete and return the Application for Employment.) Potential candidates' information will not be forwarded for consideration until the Tri-County Technical College Application for Employment has been received by Personnel. Applicants must notify the Personnel Office of their desire to be considered for a position, even if they have previously applied to the College; consideration will not be automatic. Applicants for faculty positions are required to also submit three letters of reference/recommendation and copies of transcripts. Official transcripts will be needed at the time of hiring.
