The S.C. Enterprise Zone Act
South Carolina Enterprise Zone Act "Fast Facts":

• Can reduce the cost of training for eligible employees by 50 percent through a refund to the company from SC withholding taxes
• Eligible employees include all production workers, maintenance and set-up personnel up through first line supervisors
• $500/year/employee is the maximum refund in any year of the five-year program, which allows an accumulated refund of $2,000/employee for the five-year period
• Tri-County Technical College will assist companies in developing their training plan and guide them through the approval process

Incumbent Worker Training
Businesses may apply for training funds for current workers through the Workforce Investment Act’s Incumbent Worker Training program. In order to receive IWT funding, businesses must meet certain eligibility requirements and complete an application process. For more information, businesses in the Anderson, Oconee, and Pickens County area should contact Julia Hoyle at the WorkLink Workforce Development Board. Chamber of Commerce Member Discounts
Selected programs and courses offered through the College’s Division of Continuing Education are available at a 10 percent discount to members of Chambers of Commerce in Anderson, Oconee, and Pickens counties. Please inquire at the time of registration about discount opportunities.
