Work Skills gives individuals the necessary skills for taking responsibility for understanding
what's expected in the workplace, communicating effectively with customers, co-workers, and
managers, responding to change more effectively, defusing emotionally charged situations
with co-workers and others, being a team player, and balancing home and work priorities.

solving teams, and self-directed teams. Additionally, Team Effectiveness gives individuals
the understanding and skills they need to become members of teams where everyone
shares in the responsibility for the team's performance.

Team Leadership
Team Leadership addresses leadership issues for functional, cross-functional, conventionally
supervised, and self-managed teams including: intact or departmental groups, task forces,
quality and process improvement teams, project teams, problem-solving teams, and self-
directed teams. It also emphasizes the five-fold purpose of the team leader's role: ensure
that teams meet their day-to-day performance goals, help team members develop the skills
and commitment required to share in team leadership, help teams understand and act on
internal and external business conditions that affect the organization's performance, champion
in the continuous innovation required to meet and exceed customer's changing expectations,
and enable teams to deal with organizational change.
