HORTICULTURE AND LANDSCAPING CERTIFICATE
A ten-unit program teaching skills needed by persons entering employment, or starting a business, in the horticulture and landscaping industry. All units are classified as professional development courses and will qualify as a deductible business expense. Throughout the courses, seasonal topics will be taught through lecture, demonstrations, hands-on-projects, field trips, and presentations by guest resource speakers. Resource book fee of $40 covers all units. Instructor: Master Gardener, Larry Madden. You may take individual courses in horticulture and landscaping (provided the prerequisite requirements are met) or you may take a series of specific courses in order to complete a Horticulture and Landscaping Certificate.

TURFGRASS MANAGEMENT
A five-unit program for study by persons engaged in occupations relating to turfgrass. The comprehensive units will cover information and skills needed for installation and maintenance of turf. New students can be accepted in any unit. Instructor: Michael Martin. You may take individual courses in turfgrass management (provided the prerequisite requirements are met) or you may take all 5 courses in order to complete a Turfgrass Management Certificate.

LANDSCAPE DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY
This certificate program is designed for individuals who have a working knowledge of plants and want to continue to develop their skills in landscape design. As you develop your landscape design skills you will also be preparing to take the Certified Nursery Professional and/or the Certified Landscape Technician Exam. Classes will consist of hands-on training as you participate in projects throughout the local area. All classes will originate from campus in Pendleton and be held on Tuesday evenings from 6 pm – 9 pm. Fees include books/materials.
