EPA Certification-Freon Capture and Recovery
Section 608 EPA Certification Preparatory Manual and Exam offered through the Esco Institute.
Price: $100 which covers the price of the EPA Preparatory Manual
(self-study) and the exam.
This is an EPA approved certification program and meets the
requirements set forth in Section 608 of the Clean Air Act, as
regulated by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
The manual is a self-study preparatory manual and contains all the information necessary for a technician to achieve a passing score and thereby receive a UNIVERSAL Certification. When students feel they are ready to take the exam, they call Catherine Vinson, 864-646-1720, and make an appointment to take the exam. The exam is an online, closed book, proctored exam. The only outside materials allowed are
calculators, scratch pads and pressure temperature charts. Student will also need to bring a picture ID to verify who is taking the exam. Certification documents are mailed the next day.
