A+ Computer Service Technician Training
Our A+ Computer Service Technician Training is divided into three online courses. The three courses are designed to prepare you for the CompTIA certification exam. It is recommended that you take all three courses prior to taking the new 2006 exam. The three courses are as follows:

KON 527     Basic A+ Certification Prep
The Basic CompTIA A+ Certification Prep course teaches you about the hardware common to virtually every personal computer, including microprocessors, RAM, power supplies, motherboards, BIOS, CMOS, the expansion bus, and input/output devices. You’ll learn how things work, how to configure everything, and how to troubleshoot in real world environments. This course meets the new 2006 CompTIA Exam Objectives.

KON 528     Intermediate A+ Certification Prep
The Intermediate CompTIA A+ Certification Prep course picks up where the Basic course left off, taking you right into the PC. You’ll start with detailed information on installing and configuring hard drives and removable drives, and then spend the rest of the course knee-deep in Windows. You’ll learn about the operating system from installation to operations, maintenance to troubleshooting. The course finishes with an in-depth look into installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting printers. This course takes you through the second of the three steps you need to become both a highly competent PC tech and a CompTIA A+ certified technician, meeting the new 2006 CompTIA A+ Exam Objectives.

KOC 529     Advanced A+ Certification Prep
The Advanced CompTIA A+ Certification Prep course focuses on fun technology. You’ll learn everything you need to know to select, install, and service video, sound, and portable computers. The course teaches networking, both wired and wireless, because every well-rounded tech needs to know it. You’ll learn about security, security, security. Plus you’ll learn my troubleshooting methodology, tried and true in countless computer crises. The Advanced course completes the three-course CompTIA A+ Certification Exam Prep cycle and prepares you for both the 2006 exams and for real life as a PC tech

CompTIA Security+ Certification Prep
The U.S. Department of Labor forecasts that computer security and related computer-support specialties will be among the fastest-growing occupations through 2012. CompTIA's Security+ certificate is widely regarded as the entry-level certificate for this fast-growing field. Getting that certificate requires passing CompTIA's challenging SY0-101 exam. In this six-week course, you'll learn everything you need to know to pass the exam and get your Security+ certification.

Prerequisites: CompTIA recommends that you have A+ and Network+ certifications, and two years on-the-job networking experience, prior to preparing for this exam. We don't require that much. But you should have substantial knowledge of TCP/IP networking prior to signing up for this course.
