PROGRAM
INFORMATION
Tri-County Technical College offers the Health Information
Management 1+1 program in cooperation with Greenville
Technical College. Tri-County offers the Pre-Health Information
Management Assistant Certificate as the first phase of the
Health Information Management program. The second phase
is offered at Greenville Technical College. Completion of both
phases (I & II) prepares students to maintain components
of health information systems and to analyze and evaluate
technical and highly sensitive information in health records.
Graduates perform tasks related to the use, analysis, validation,
presentation, abstracting, coding, storage, security, retrieval,
quality measurement, and control of health care data. They may
perform these duties in many diverse health care settings.
