PROGRAM
INFORMATION
Veterinary technicians provide professional and technical
support to veterinarians, biomedical researchers, other
scientists, and industries. The technician handles many aspects
of patient care and laboratory procedures. Upon completion of
the program, students are expected to take state and national
licensing exams to become Licensed Veterinary Technicians
(LVT).
SCHEDULING
AND ENTRY OPTIONS
The two-year (full-time) and part-time programs begin in the
fall term. The two-year (FT) program classes are offered only
during the day over five terms. The part-time program classes
are offered primarily in the evening and over nine terms.
There is a one semester externship required in both programs.
General education courses are offered in the day, evening, or
online and can be completed at any time before or during the
program.
