Admissions Process 1. Complete an Application for Admission (PDF) and return it along with your Application Fee to the Admissions Office. 2. Read important information for International Student Admission, admission with Advanced Standing, and/or admission to programs in the Health Education Division, if applicable to you. (If you do not have a high school diploma or GED, see Admission without a GED or Diploma.) 3. Have your transcripts from high school and/or other colleges sent to the Admissions Office. A final, official high school transcript (or GED scores) is required. Official copies of transcripts from all colleges youve attended are also required. You may use our Transcript Request Form to request your records from your high school and other colleges you have attended. 4. Take the Placement Test, which will provide information to your counselors and advisor regarding the best courses for you to start with at Tri-County. If youve attended college previously, you may not need to take all sections of the placement test. Or, if youll be entering a credit certificate program that doesnt require General Education courses, you wont need to take the placement test either. 5. Meet with an Admissions Counselor, after your transcripts have been received and you've taken the Placement Test. The Admissions office sees students on a walk-in basis. Our hours are Monday - Thursday, 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Friday 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. 6. Read information on Orientation and Registration. Its also a good idea to apply for financial aid, if you havent already done so. Start with completing the FAFSA, even if you know you wont qualify for Federal assistance. (Lottery grants require this step - even though those grants are NOT based on financial need!) |
