If you want to take a few credit courses but you have no immediate intention to graduate with a certificate, diploma, or associate degree, you may be admitted as a Career Development student. Here are the procedures you need to complete:
1. Contact the Admissions
Office to determine if you should be admitted into a credit curriculum
program or if you meet one or more of the conditions to be admitted
into the Career Development classification. (High school students who
wish to take College courses are typically classified as Career Development
students.)
2. Complete an Application
for Admission (PDF). Submit your completed application by mail to
the Admissions Office, Tri-County Technical College, P.O. Box 587, Pendleton,
SC 29670. A $20 non-refundable application
fee is due at the time of application.
3. Contact the Admissions Office to verify
that your application has been processed.
4. Register for classes on Career
Development Registration Day for the best selection of courses.
Additional Information
- Career Development students are not eligible for financial aid or VA benefits.
- Currently enrolled/registered curriculum students are not permitted to change to a Career Development classification.
- Career Development students who wish to change their classification to a curriculum status (accepted into a major leading to an associate degree, diploma, or certificate) must see an admissions counselor. The counselor will specify the procedures that must be completed before a change of classification status can be completed.
