Full-time
If you register for 12 or more credit hours in a degree, diploma, or certificate program, you are considered to be a full-time student. (For Veterans Administration education benefits, different or additional criteria may apply.)
Part-Time
If you register for fewer than 12 credit hours in a degree, diploma, or certificate program, you are considered to be a part-time student.
Career Development (Non-Degree Seeking)
The College permits students to be accepted in the Career Development classification who desire to take one or more curriculum courses and have no immediate intention to enroll in or graduate from a certificate, diploma or associate degree program. To be classified as a Career Development student, you must meet one or more of the following criteria:
1. Be at least 18 years of age or be a high school graduate or the equivalent.
2. Be a high school student, with permission from the principal and parents/guardian to take a specific course or courses.
3. Receive approval from the Vice President for Academic Affairs or the Vice President for Students Affairs or their designee, for exceptions to criteria 1 or 2 above.
