The TCTC Writing Center staff makes every effort to serve students enrolled at TCTC by offering the following services.
I. The Writing Center at the Pendleton Campus is located in Oconee Hall, Room 202.
The center is open to all TCTC students, including those enrolled in online classes or classes that meet at other TCTC campuses. Students can get help with assignments, use one of the 16 computers for research and word processing, pick up handouts, or study between classes.
Students may make appointments for tutoring at the main campus by coming by the Writing Center in room 202 of Oconee Hall, by calling 646-1367, or by emailing

II. In addition, a tutoring center at the Anderson Campus is open to all students enrolled in TCTC courses, including those at other campuses and online, one day a week as follows for spring 2008:

The Anderson Campus Writing Center is located in room 209. Students may drop in or schedule an appointment for help with writing assignments through the Anderson Campus Front Office at 260-6700. Appointments take precedence over drop-ins.
III. Students enrolled in online courses may email papers to the Writing Center for feedback. Email the paper as a Word document to writingcenter@tctc.edu. You MUST include the following information for our records in your email: your instructor, the course, your name, your mailing address, your major (UT for university transfer), and the type of student (traditional or nontraditional) that you are. Traditional students are those who recently graduated from high school. In addition, you MUST include the following statement in your email after reading the Student Writing Responsibilities:
"I understand and agree to the terms stated in the Student Writing Responsibilities."
Student Writing Responsibilities
The individual client receiving Writing Center services fully understands that he/she is ultimately responsible for any and all finished academic products resulting from tutoring services. Furthermore, the student understands and agrees to the following terms:
. The student is ultimately responsible for any changes made on the finished academic product.
. He/she has the option of accepting or rejecting any suggestions made by the Writing Center consultant(s).
. The student is ultimately responsible for the grade he/she receives on any individual project or assignment brought into the Writing Center.
. The Writing Center consultant who assists me is not responsible for editing or proofreading any work that I submit.
. The Writing Center consultant is not responsible for pointing out every error on my paper.
