Alpha
Beta Beta
Alpha Zeta Beta is the local chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, a national honor
fraternity for junior college students. Its purposes are to recognize
and encourage scholarship and to provide opportunity for the development
of leadership and service.
To be eligible for membership, a student must be enrolled in an associate
degree program, must have accumulated 12 hours, and must have achieved
and maintained a GPR of at least 3.50.
Membership is recognition of intellectual achievement while a student
is enrolled in a two-year college, and provides opportunities for leadership
and service locally, regionally, and nationally. A member of Phi Theta
Kappa receives copies of two publications, 3.5 Plus and The Golden Key.
In addition, members have the opportunity to participate in two major
meetings annually, the National Convention, and the Honors Institute,
which is a week-long meeting at which an honors program topic is explored.
Athletics
Criminal Justice Club
The Criminal Justice Club was established to broaden Criminal Justice
students' experiences with the system and the profession. Members participate
in fund-raising events, extracurricular field trips, and community service
projects. Membership is open to students enrolled in the Criminal Justice

Environmental Club
The purpose of the Environmental Club is to offer students of Tri-County
Technical College a group which seeks to research environmental issues
and be active in educating the student body and the community about environmental
issues. The group will promote suitable activities that are beneficial
to the membership, the campus at large and the community in general.
Forensics Team
The Forensics Team (Speech Team) is available to those who want to polish
their public speaking skills or acting/performance skills. The Forensics
Team is a member of the South Carolina Speech Communication Association.

Future Educators of TCTC
The Future Educators of Tri-County Technical College (FETCTC) is a group designed to provide opportunities for students who are interested in pursuing careers in education to explore the field and to gain an awareness of requirements needed to obtain and maintain a teaching credential. Membership is open to any student enrolled in courses at Tri-County Technical College who has an interest in becoming a teacher. The goal of the club is to provide pertinent information and experience that would not typically be obtained through course work.
Inspiring Futures
Inspiring Futures is a student organization for students and faculty at Tri-County Technical College who are interested in promoting interest in Early Childhood Development. The organization seeks to provide fellowship among students and faculty and to represent students' needs in regards to becoming quality early care and education professionals. Ultimately, Inspiring Futures is a forum for the presentation of innovative ideas to benefit the Oconee, Pickens, and Anderson communities. For information,

International Association
The Tri-County Technical College International Association (TCTIA) is
an organization open to all students, staff, and faculty who are interested
in learning more about other cultures. The purpose of TCTIA is twofold:
(1) to build understanding of other cultures among all students, staff,
and faculty and (2) to represent the interest of the international association
members. Projects include developing an international bureau of speakers
for engagements on campus and in the community, offering tutoring services
to students interested in learning other languages and providing fellowship
through opportunities such as field trips and ethnic dinners. For information,

Lambda Chi Nu
Associate degree nursing students may be selected for inclusion into this
nursing honor society. Candidates must have completed at least one-half
of their ADN requirements for graduation and have maintained at least
a 3.0 GPR. Selection is also based on nursing professionalism and achievement.

Minority Student Association (MSA)
The goals of the Minority Student Association (MSA) are to encourage students to strive for academic excellence and develop leadership skills. MSA promotes a variety of cultural activities and participates in various community service projects. Members are also provided with opportunities for growth, exposure, and success through various planned events, workshops, and mentorship.
South Carolina Student Chapter of National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America (SCNAVTA)
The Veterinary Technology curriculum is an AVMA accredited program which has been granted a student affiliation with the National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America (NAVTA). Each student enrolled in Veterinary Technology is a member, receives the NAVTA journal and is entitled to member discounts and benefits. SCNAVTA members are involved in fundraising events, community service projects, and Vet Tech Pet Adoptions.
The purpose of the student chapter of NAVTA (SCNAVTA) is to promote the
professional and educational advancement of veterinary technicians through
various service projects. In addition, SCNAVTA keeps students abreast
of events and activities of their colleagues across the country. For information,

South Carolina Society of Clinical Laboratory Science
Students enrolled in the Medical Laboratory Technology program are eligible
for student membership in the South Carolina Society of Clinical Laboratory
Science. Student members may participate at reduced rates in conventions
and receive a professional journal. In addition, the society keeps students
abreast of the latest lab procedures, books and audiovisuals, and scholarships

Student Dental Assistant Association
The Student Dental Assisting Association is a professional organization for current full – time Dental Assisting students. They are eligible for membership into the American Dental Assisting Association, which is the national organization which provides many opportunities for the students. Student benefits include the Dental Assisting Journal, continuing education, affiliation with the state and local component, reduced fees for meetings, insurance programs, scholarship eligibility, internet resume posting, and many other opportunities. The mission of this organization is to involve Dental Assisting students in promoting the art and science of the Dental Assisting profession while contributing to the improvement of the public health. This is a unique opportunity for students to be involved with their professional society and to recognize their potential as an organizational unit. Student Government Association
The Student Government Association (SGA) is an organization that actively
supports a wide variety of cultural, social, and civic activities as it
promotes the welfare of all students.
Each student is automatically a member of the SGA. Representatives and
Senators are selected from each curriculum to represent all students at
the SGA meetings and events. The SGA also advises on college policy issues
through the SGA President, who serves as a voting member of the College
Management Council.
Dates of meetings will be published in Student Information. In the spring
each year, the student body elects a president, vice president, secretary,
and treasurer. Representatives are elected from each curriculum to represent

Student Nurses Association
The Student Nurses Association (SNA) of Tri-County Technical College is
a professional organization composed of prenursing, auditing, advanced
placement LPNs and generic nursing students that provides constituency
on the state and national levels of SNA. The purpose of SNA-TCT is to
promote professional development of nursing students by providing interaction
between students at Tri-County and other students throughout South Carolina
and the United States. This is done through workshops, newsletters, and

Tri-County Technical College Student Democrats
The TCTC Student Democrats is an organization aimed at encouraging student involvement in the political process, government, and local community. The goals of this organization are to encourage students to register to vote, to encourage students to vote and to become involved in the election process, and to encourage students to become informed on current political issues. Members of the Student Dems help coordinate annual voter registration drives, provide a forum for the discussion of political issues and events, and invite guest speakers to campus.
