PENDLETON --- Soon-to-be graduates and those seeking employment are invited to meet with prospective employers at Tri-County Technical College's 11th Annual College and Career Fair.

Student Support Services, a TRIO program at Tri-County, will sponsor the event March 10 from 9 a.m. 2 p.m. in the Student Center/Cafeteria area. College representatives will be on hand from 10 a.m. noon, and business and industry will be set up from 9 a.m. 2 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public.

Students will have the opportunity to network with representatives from area businesses, colleges and universities. Cindy Trimmier-Lee, coordinator of Student Support Services, advises attendees to come prepared with resumes in hand and questions about the job market.

She added that college representatives will be accepting applications and talking individually with those who are planning to transfer to senior institutions.

"We urge everyone to take advantage of the unique opportunity of having a number of sources in one place," said Mrs. Trimmier-Lee. "We are open to the community and offer hands-on information about colleges and businesses," she said. "We anticipate this fair to be our best," she added.

A sampling of the participating colleges and businesses are: Clemson University, Furman University and Anderson College, AnMed, Oconee Memorial Hospital, Spartanburg Regional Health Care System, Schlumberger, U.S. Engine Valve, Interim Health Care, AFLAK, Greenville County Detention Center and the S.C. Employment Security Commission.
