Thirty-Four Associate Degree Nursing Students Receive Pins

PENDLETON --- Dr. Lenette O. Burrell, writer, researcher and retired professor of nursing at the Medical College of Georgia, addressed Tri-County Technical College's 34 associate degree nursing graduates at a traditional pre-graduation pinning ceremony.

Dr. Burrell, who is the author of Adult Nursing, a medical surgical textbook that the graduates used in their studies, talked about end of life care. The Elberton resident holds a B.S. degree from Georgia College, an M.S.N. from the Medical College of Georgia and an Ed. D. from the University of Georgia.

Following Ms. Burrell's speech, pins were presented to the following students:

Gwendolyn M. Chiles and Mary E. McIntyre both received the Virginia C. Brockway Clinical Excellence Award.

Michelle L. Westmoreland received the Faculty Recognition Award.

Lia P. Clardy received the Kinnebrew Award.
