Congressman Lindsey Graham to Address Group
At September 21 Industry Appreciation Breakfast

CONTACT: BRUCE CANNON, EXT. 2117

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 9/9/99

PENDLETON---Existing industries account for most of the expansion in manufacturing in Anderson, Oconee, and Pickens counties in recent years, and Clemson University and Tri-County Technical College will celebrate that fact during Industry Appreciation Week.

The two institutions are directly involved in economic development, especially industrial recruitment and expansion. To express their appreciation to industries already located here, they have invited several hundred industrial and business executives, community leaders, elected officials, and others to a breakfast in the Industrial and Business Development Center at Tri-County Tech on Tuesday, September 21, at 7:15.

Congressman Lindsey Graham, a founder of the Upstate International Trade Association (UPSITA), will address the group. Clemson President Constantine Curris and Tri-County President Don Garrison will salute the industrial representatives present.

Tri-County Technical College will present five days of training seminars -- free of charge -- during the week (September 20 – 24) as an expression of appreciation to industry for its support. The theme for this year's observance is "Legacy of Pride, Century of Promise."
