FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 8/20/99
(By Lisa Garrett)

PENDLETON --- Author Penelope Lindsey will present a two-part program beginning September 3 to teach you how to increase the comfort and harmony of your home or workplace by using Feng Shui, the Chinese art of placement.

Tri-County Technical College will offer the seminar from 7 – 9 p.m. on September 3 and September 4 from 9 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. The cost is $75.

Feng Shui (pronounced fung shway) represents the study of the relationship between us and our surroundings, said Ms. Lindsey, who is the author of Placement Art: A Beginner's Guide to Feng Shui. "It's a holistic representation of life. Because our lives are interwoven with energies around us, we can improve and enhance our lives by changing our environment. "Our homes are our external skins, an extension of our bodies," said Ms. Lindsey. "We can fine tune our spaces with fung shui, a tool for a balanced life. We can get our 'self' in tune with our 'outer space.'"
