PENDLETON – Ronnie Roper and Jerry Rollins, both of Anderson and associates at Jacobs Chuck Manufacturing Company, were the winners among the 120 players in Tri-County Technical College's Thirteenth Annual Alumni Association Golf Tournament held September 18.

A low score of 66 won the team the first-place trophy in the Captain's Choice golf tournament held at Boscobel Country Club in Pendleton.

Charles Richey of Anderson, and Donnie Sargent, also of Anderson, took second place, and Jackie Snow and George Whitmire, both of Orangeburg, won third place.

In addition, Randall Pinion, of Easley, won a trophy for closest to the pin on hole 7, and Wayne Yates, of Seneca, won for closest to the pin on hole 14. Carol Hill, of Anderson, won a trophy for longest drive on hole 15.

The tournament grossed $9,323, and a portion of this will be applied toward the first payment on a $15,000 pledge to name a room in the College's Health/Science Building. Last year, the tournament proceeds completed the Association's second endowed scholarship.
