Learn the Art of Hand Tinting Photographs in Light OilsCONTACT: HALEY SITTON, EXT. 2363 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 9/3/99 PENDLETON --- Learn the unique art of hand tinting black and white photographs by using light oils at an upcoming seminar scheduled for September 11 at Tri-County Technical College. "The Art of Hand Tinting Photographs in Light Oils" will be held from 9 a.m. 6 p.m. Joan Wyers Cole, renowned photographer and artist, will lead the workshop and will provide one-on-one instruction. Participants will learn how to hand tint, using light oils, black and white photos, such as portraits, old family photographs, advertising and art. The color is applied but all of the details of the photography are visible. The oils do not fade as in color photography. Ms. Cole teaches photography at Samford Metro College in Alabama and received photography training and certification through the University of Auburn's Special Studies program. The cost is $75 plus materials.
