PENDLETON - Persons planning to enroll in fall semester classes at Tri-County Technical College must complete several steps before the August 17 registration can take place.

Steps new applicants should follow prior to registering include:

1. Complete a written application.

2. Take the placement test in Miller Hall, Room 125. The three-and-one-half hour test will be given Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. and each Saturday at 8:30 a.m. There is no charge for the test. Persons should arrive 30 minutes prior to the test.

3. After taking the placement test, the applicant will make an appointment with an admissions counselor.

Former students and those transferring from other colleges may follow a different procedure by calling the Admissions Office for instructions. These steps should be completed as soon as possible.

New students who have completed the admissions process should attend orientation on August 17 at 9 a.m. or 5:30 p.m. After orientation, new students will meet with their faculty advisors to register for classes. Currently enrolled students may register on August 17 from 9 a.m. - 8 p.m. in their advisor's office. Prospective students who have taken the placement test but have not been accepted for admission, current students contemplating a change in major, and former students planning to reenter should call the Admissions Office today to begin the admissions process.

The first day of classes is August 23.

Persons may pay by check or credit card. Students registering on August 17 must pay tuition that day. Students who registered in the early registration period must pay the tuition prior to 8 p.m. Monday, August 17.
