Tri-County Faculty and Staff Receive
Awards for Service to College and State

PENDLETON - Tri-County Technical College faculty and staff received awards for long-term service to the College and the State of South Carolina at the annual spring convocation.

Bruce Cannon, of Seneca, director of public relations since 1968, was honored for 30 years of service to the State and the College.

Honored for 25 years of service to the College were Linda Elliott, of Seneca, vice president for development; Glenn Hellenga, of Anderson, director of counseling and Employment and Training department; Tom Lewis, of Anderson, vice president for Finance and Administrative Services; Gracie McLaughlin, of Pendleton, Office Systems Technology department head; and Dr. Jim Wood of Clemson, chairman of the Industrial and Engineering Technology Division.

Receiving 20-year service pins for the State and the College were Ann Evatt, of Pendleton, accounting clerk/cashier for the Business Office; Diane Langdale, of Fair Play, manager of equipment and inventory for the Shipping and Receiving department; and Brenda Rice, of Anderson, secretary for the Dean of Students.

Honored for 20 years of service to the State were Debbie Coyle, of Anderson, director of Graphics; Elizabeth Gambrell, of Anderson, coordinator of testing for the Comprehensive Studies Division; Nelson Green, of Anderson, instructor in the Developmental Mathematics department; Susan McClure, of Pendleton, Accounting department head; and Constance Thibodeau, of Easley, associate degree Nursing instructor.

Honored for 20 years of service to the College were Mary Ann Cox, of Townville, secretary for the Bookstore, and Gaynelle Harrison, of Seneca, a counselor with the Employment and Training department.

Dr. Roy Garris, of Pendleton, received a pin for 10 years of service to the College.

Honored for 10 years of service to Tri-County and to the State were Faye Allen, of Williamston, director of fiscal affairs for the Business Office; Sue Dacus, of Anderson, records specialist in the Student Records department; Linda Minish, of Anderson, records specialist in the Student Records department; Robin Pepper, of Walhalla, mathematics instructor; Lisa Poore, of Anderson, personnel assistant/switchboard operator; Phyllis Shealy, of Anderson, office manager for the Learning Resources Center; Julius Shirley, of Anderson, HVAC mechanic for the Maintenance department; Ted Simpkins, of Six Mile, Industrial Electronics Technology department head; Tess Skinner, of Anderson, Office Systems Technology instructor; Margaret Thomas, of Clemson, Surgical Technology department head; and Phyllis Turner, of Pendleton, seminar coordinator for the Business and Industry Training department.
