FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
3/18/2004

PENDLETON --- Tri-County Technical College's 18th Annual Alumni Association Golf Tournament is set for Saturday, April 17, at Falcon's Lair in Walhalla.

A 2004 Oldsmobile Alero will be awarded for the first hole-in-one on Hole 5. This prize is courtesy of Edwards Auto Sales Company in Walhalla.

Tee-off time for the Captain's Choice tournament is 8:30 a.m. A $65 per person registration fee is required. This includes cart, green fees, breakfast, lunch, beverages and two mulligans, compliments of Outback Steakhouse in Anderson. Awards will be given to the winners. You do not have to be an alumnus to participate.

bp Amoco and Thrift Brothers, both of Seneca, are gold sponsors of the tournament. Alumni officers urge persons and companies to consider these sponsorships: silver ($500) and gold ($1,000), in addition to holes at $100 each and/or carts at $25 each.

Proceeds from past tournaments have enabled the Alumni Association to endow two scholarships through the College's Foundation and to make professional development opportunities available to faculty and staff. Proceeds from this year's tournament will fund cash awards for the College's Presidential Medallion recipients and will make book/supply awards available for selected students who are the children or spouses of a Tri-County graduate.
