PENDLETON --- A golf tournament established to fund manufacturing education at four upstate technical colleges and a speech by the vice president of the Manufacturing Institute are just a few of the highlights of the Automated Manufacturing Exhibition set for May 22 – 24 at the Palmetto International Expo Center in Greenville.

Tri-County Technical College is one of the founders of the annual Automated Manufacturing Show – a broad-based exhibition of advanced technologies and applications for numerous manufacturing processes and product categories.

The shows will be from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. on May 22 and 23 and from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. on May 24.

The event, which is the largest manufacturing exposition in the Southeast, features exhibitors, products and services, including controls and instrumentation, systems integration, enterprise wide IT solutions, and more.

The First Annual Am-Expo Charity Golf Tournament, sponsored by TEC Inc., will be held May 21 at Pebble Creek Club in Greenville. The tournament was established to fund educational endowments at four upstate technical colleges (Tri-County, Greenville, Piedmont, and Spartanburg) which have sponsored the conference. The tournament is open to anyone in manufacturing, plus attendees of the conference, exhibitors, distributors, colleges' faculty and staff and TEC, Inc. board members.

The technical colleges of the South Carolina will present an annual salute to manufacturing during an annual luncheon set for May 23 at the Automated Manufacturing show. The keynote speaker will be Phyllis Eisen, vice president of the Manufacturing Institute and executive director of the Center for Workforce Success, the research education and training arm of the National Association of Manufacturing. The Center's Mission is to find workforce solutions for U.S. manufacturers.
