Tri-County Technical College Commission Elects Officers

PENDLETON --- Tri-County Technical College's Area Commission for Technical Education, the college's governing board, elected officers for 2000 at its April meeting.

Dr. Mendel Stewart, of Sunset, was re-elected chairman of the board. He has been a member of the Commission since 1977 and served as vice chairman several years ago. Helen Rosemond-Saunders, of Seneca, was re-elected vice-chairman. She was appointed to the Board in 1993. Robert (Bob) Sharpe, of Anderson, a member of the Board since 1989, was re-elected secretary-treasurer.

"We are very fortunate to have such highly recognized leaders on our Board, and that goes for all members," said President Don C. Garrison. "These executive officers have demonstrated total advocacy of the College's purpose and mission during their 60-plus combined years of leadership on the Board, and we are grateful that they will continue their service as members of the Executive Committee."
