New Bookkeeping Certificate Prepares Students For Entry-level Accounting Careers

PENDLETON --- Tri-County Technical College will offer a new Bookkeeping Certificate to prepare for an entry-level career in the accounting field. Classes begin October 4.
Topics covered will include an introduction to accounting, business transactions and the accounting equation; accounting and payroll system; the accounting cycle for a merchandising corporation; accounting for special procedures; and accounting for partnerships. Peachtree Complete® Accounting software and applications, used in more than 500,000 businesses, is integrated at the point of instruction throughout program. In addition, the certificate program includes classes in QuickBooks and a class in Microsoft Excel software program.
