PENDLETON --- Students will have the opportunity to network with representatives from area businesses, colleges and universities at an upcoming two-day College and Career Fair at Tri-County Technical College.

Student Support Services, a TRIO program at the College, will sponsor its Sixth Annual College and Career Fair March 8 and 10.

The Career Fair will be held Wednesday, March 8, from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m., and the College Fair will be on Friday, March 10, from 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. in conjunction with the Carolinas Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers. Both events will be held in the cafeteria.

During the College Fair, representatives from colleges and businesses will be available to talk individually with students who are planning to transfer to a senior institution or to enter the job market.

"We urge persons to take advantage of the unique opportunity of having a number of resources in one place," said Cindy Trimmier-Lee, coordinator of Tri-County's Student Support Services program. "We are open to the community and offer hands-on information about colleges and businesses. College representatives will be accepting admissions applications on site, and some may waive the application fee to the institution. Participants who are interested in the business aspect of the fair are encouraged to bring an updated resume as many of the companies in attendance will be actively seeking employees for currently available positions. We anticipate this fair to be our best," she said.

To date, the following colleges and businesses will be in attendance:
