Tri-County to Offer Daytime EMT Classes

CONTACT: TOM STEELE, 646-1706

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 3/3/2004

PENDLETON --- Tri-County Technical College will offer daytime courses for certification as a Basic Emergency Medical Technician beginning Tuesday, April 6. The classes will meet on the Tri-County campus on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.

"We are excited to be offering day classes for EMT," said Tom Steele, director of Licensing and Recertification for the College. "Offering daytime classes will round out the training opportunities we have developed in response to feedback we received from our communities. Tri-County now will have daytime, evening and weekend classes which will offer flexibility in scheduling to our students as they train to enter the EMS field."

The classes will be taught by Bill Howiler, a State-certified EMT instructor and member of Oconee Memorial Hospital's Emergency Medical Services (EMS) unit. To register, contact the College at (864) 646-1700.
