Tri-County Offers Floral Design Class at Expressions Unlimited

WESTMINSTER --- Interested in starting a new career or just developing floral skills for your own personal use? Tri-County Technical College's Floral Design Department will begin offering classes at Expressions Unlimited in Westminster beginning March 14. "Basics of Floral Design" will be held Mondays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will conclude on April 18. The cost is $220 (includes $85 material fee).

The College's Floral Design Department offers a certificate in floral design that prepares individuals to enter the world of floral design. In this first class you will learn the basics of floral design including design theory, application, design shapes and steps of construction. You will work with both silk and fresh flowers and foliage. You also will learn about tools, containers and the mechanics of floral design. Lastly, you will learn to create exquisite bows and learn to incorporate floral accessories into designs.
