PENDLETON --- Tri-County Technical College is offering free career
seminars aimed at those who are considering attending Tri-County but
need assistance with choosing a major or career plan.
Two seminars are set for November 11 and will be held from 10 a.m.
- noon and 6 - 8 p.m. Both seminars will be held in the Career Services
Office, Room 140, in Miller Hall. Career counselors will provide information
and personalized guidance about selecting an appropriate major and will
talk about financial aid and enrollment for the spring 2005 semester.
Participants will take a career interest inventory to pinpoint their
interests, values and abilities which will be matched with appropriate
majors.
"Exploring options is foundational to entering college and selecting
a major," said Vinson Burdette, associate dean of Counseling. "Our
goal is to assist individuals who are unsure of their next step. When
individuals leave the seminar, they will have a good idea of which majors
at Tri -County are good choices for them."
If you would like to attend either seminar, contact the College by phone
(864-646-1577 or 1-800-269-5677, Ext. 1577) or by e-mail at jobplace@tctc.edu.
