PENDLETON --- Find out about the wide array of career opportunities in the health care field at a career fair drop-in on October 4 at Tri-County Technical College.

The career fair is set for Saturday, October 4, from 1 – 3 p.m. in the Cafeteria located in Pickens Hall. Students may tour the Health/Science facilities, meet college instructors, and talk to S.C. Hospital Association members and local hospital personnel. Representatives from Tri-County will be on hand to discuss admissions requirements and financial aid options.

The fair is geared toward high school students in an effort to inform them about the career opportunities for allied health professionals and the admissions requirements for each of these majors. Sixty percent of a hospital's clinical workforce is technical college graduates who are employed as registered nurses and licensed practical nurses, respiratory therapists, medical laboratory technologists and surgical technicians.

This fair is sponsored by Tri-County Technical College, the S.C. Technical College System, the S.C. Employment Security Commission and the S.C. Hospital Association. For more information, contact Glenn Hellenga at 646-1585.
